The Temperature Control System (TCS) Mk. II represents a step forward in performance and compatibility for the popular AG Optical TCS.
Offering improved heating and cooling performance, the TCS Mk. II offers decreased acclimatization times for the entire range of AGO telescopes.
Note: The TCS Mk. II is NOT compatible with AG Optical telescopes produced before 2025.

Detailed Information
The SAS TCS Mk. II is an all in one controller for the built in suite of temperature devices aboard all SAS telescopes. With a simple push on connector, the TCS Mk. II interfaces seamlessly, requiring only a 12V input, and USB connection for Windows PC and Linux control.
The TCS makes use of 3 onboard temperature sensors to determine ambient, primary, and secondary mirror temperatures accurate to 1/10 of a degree C. Actuating the onboard primary and secondary heaters, and tube cooling fans, the TCS is able to maintain glass temperatures within 1/2 of a degree C through the vast majority of observing conditions.
On release, the TCS will ship with its revamped, user friendly software. This Windows and Linux compatible program is designed to allow simple manual and automated control of the temperature of the telescope.
Compatability
The TCS Mk. II is compatible with all IDK telescopes produced after 2025.
